I like David Sedaris.

I have read many if not all of David Sedaris's books they are good light reading nothing too deep just funny and well put. Amy and I watched this clip the other night and were shocked at how funny his voice sounds, it is not the voice who read his books to me in my head... but strangely even more perfect, hearing him tell his stories makes me want to read them all over again.

Earth Day

After running in to New Seasons for a snack between classes, the cashier put my items in this interesting bag... To the best of what I can decipher from the picture it is a table with the Earth shaved down in to the shape of an hour glass and some "Elmer's" glue. The adorable cursive at the top says, "We can stop damage only to a certain degree there is one thing we must remember what is done can't be easily be reversed." Very well put little guy! also cute, the spelling of earth @ the bottom.
I also enjoyed the Green Prius it was on the flip side.

Is it wrong to say happy Earth day?

It is so interesting and beautiful to compare a child with it's adult self.
I think I will make one of these and post it... this will take some time.

always a favorite.

www.shelsilverstein.com
Shel Silverstein is an amazing poet and author who wrote children's books that make the child in me stir and the adult in me think. He was something of a magic man. Maybe my favorite book of all time is "the giving tree" it gives me a lump in my throat every time it is so simple and true.
